If you have the proper experience, this book is useless and not up to modern standards. Read two random chapters and I felt as I was regressing. Also don’t buy from this vendor, charged a 20% restocking fee for returning.

Mr. Richardson has done a superb job here providing the basic design input, operating conditions, limitations and cautions, not to exceed, that are prerequisite for any hands-on power engineers. That is not to say that design engineers should also read and heed - saving us field guys some aggravation by better understanding how the subsystem interface. Overall the book provide first of all safety parameters that are a must to all of us that for sure could help novice engineers learning basics, Power Engineering 101 and experienced guys who might have been overlooking something - sort of 'if all else failed read the instruction' alike.
This is an amazing book filled with knowledge from the field. I've used this book as a reference for maintenance and inspections.

I had bought and continually refer to Startup Engineer's Handbook - ISBN - 978-098437830-2 and I cannot wait to get my copy of his latest book, Plant Equipment & Maintenance Engineering Handbook. His well-written and informative reference books are a must for power plant and heavy industry professionals.
